Charity Quiz Night!

Join us every second Tuesday of each month at 8pm. Entry is £1 per person with teams of up to 6 invited. Prize for the winners! Also enjoy nibbles at half time, and 10% off your food bill on the night when you enter the quiz. Please ask for details.

St Patricks Day

Celebrate Paddy's day at the Henny with an Irish themed menu (to be announced) and shamrock topped Guinness. March 17th.

Mother's Day

Treat your Mum to lunch and we will take care of the dishes!! All Mums are special and that is the reason why we are going to offer all of our Mums who dine at the Henny on Mother's Day a free glass of bubbly. March 18th.

In your Easter Bonnet

The Henny's Easter Bonnet parade, come to the Henny and show off your favourite Easter Bonnet. Prizes will be awarded to the best Bonnet, open to all ages. Good Friday, April 6th.

Easter Egg Hunt

Kid's come join our hunt for Easter Eggs in our garden, starts at 11:30am on Easter Sunday - April 8th.

River Stour Boat Trip

Back for a very welcome return every Saturday and Sunday, the boat will depart from the Quay at Sudbury at 11:00am for a leisurely sail up the river Stour to arrive at the Henny Swan at 12:00pm just in time for lunch, you will have two hours at the Henny then the boat sets to cruise back down the river at 2:00pm to arrive at Sudbury Quay at 3:00pm. “All aboard” We will be set to start sailing in March and will run every weekend until October, bookings only, so book early to avoid disappointment. You can also book a private lunch time cruise most weekdays, or why not book a private charter, where you can arrive at the Henny then board your boat at our quayside for canapés and drinks whilst cruising up the river Stour and back, arrive at the Henny for sun downers whilst you decide on your evening meal (min 6 people) Friday evenings only for more information telephone the Henny and ask for Sian for more details.

The Henny Swan Wedding Fayre

The Henny Swan first Wedding Fayre to be held in our brand new marquee on 12th May 2012, if you are starting to plan your future wedding this is an event not to be missed filled with lots of ideas to help you make your big day extra special. Tio & Tapas

Tio and Tapas evening. Our chefs have been working hard to put together a mouth-watering selection of Tapas for you to enjoy, sit back, relax and enjoy some live Spanish entertainment with a glass of Rioja. Date in June to be confirmed. Check back here or find us on Facebook! (link to the right)

Schools out for Summer

Mums don’t dread those long summer holidays - bring the kids along to the Henny for lunch, you can enjoy a glass of wine or pimms whilst the kids play in our play area, we will once again have footballs, cricket bat and balls, golf sets, hoop games which you can loan for a small refundable deposit. Henny Fete

We are proud to announce a very welcome return of the Henny Fete after last year’s extremely successful run when the Henny Swan hosted the 1st Henny Fete for more than twenty years. There will be stalls; games brick a brac, live music, something for all the family.

Diamond Jubilee

We have bunting and flags flying to help celebrate the Queens Diamond Jubilee.
We bid a welcome return to our local jazz band who will be playing, whilst you enjoy an afternoon tea in our marquee on Monday 4th June, why not stay and enjoy a drink in the bar whilst watching the Queen’s concert at Buckingham Palace, at dusk we will be lighting our own “Henny Beacon”.

Pub Olympics

Come join us for the closing ceremony, which will be shown live at the Henny, we will also be running our own Pub Olympics with Dominos, cards, Tiddly Winks, hoop the loop, Sports Quiz. Starts at 7:30 on 12th August 2012.

Beer Festival

“The Henny Swan first Beer Festival”, we are very pleased to be holding our first Beer Festival on September 15th and 16th, there is lots going on BBQ’s, live music, a good selection of beers to choose from. The Henny Brewery Tour 2012

We start our Brewery tour with a trip to Adnams Brewery, November 2012. Arrive early at the Henny for a pint and a bacon butty then it’s all aboard the Henny bus for the trip up to Southwold for a tour around the Adnams Brewery, then back to the Henny for Pie, chips and go on I'll have another pint please.
